aCommerce Management Platform (AMP) Launches New Features
aCommerce clients are now able to track more analytics in regards to their channel performance through aCommerce platform. Two new reports, the aging report and the demand forecast, will enable cost savings through leftover stock calculations in the warehouse, and historical data to predict how much stock needs to be bought each month to maximize sales.
The addition of these features onto the platform means more transparency for clients and more efficiency, updates and accurate forecasting of stock. Currently, the platform is being used by brands such as Abbott, Kiehl’s and L’Oreal to track performance of their brand.com and marketplace stores.
The platform upgrade means that every update is live, which will go onto boost productivity and accuracy for stock management done by aCommerce brand commerce team.
1. The aging report calculates the storage lifespan of a stock in the aCommerce warehouse, along with how much the stock is costing brands by sitting idly in the warehouse. From this information, the brand commerce team is able to customize promotions for distribution. Certain products such as dairy have a shorter lifespan than cosmetics, for example, which means that it relies on the aging report to ensure that leftover stock in the warehouse does not go to waste.
2. The demand forecast is a report that allows for brand management to forecast the right amount of stock to buy from a brand, leveraging historical data. The analysis of this data can improve stock replenishment, and therefore the brand commerce team can accurately predict the amount of stock to purchase for each month, taking in consideration promotion plans and spike periods.
“From a brand commerce perspective, transitioning store reports onto the aCommerce platform makes stock assessment easier and more transparent. Live stock monitoring will allow us to manage products in the warehouse more efficiently, helps with promotion planning and product replenishment. “ — Praponsak Kumpolpun, Brand Ecommerce Senior Manager at aCommerce.
