aCommerce Expands to the Philippines With the Hiring of Ray Alimurung

With his work in both developed and emerging markets, Ray is well positioned to lead the aCommerce Philippines expansion.

Nation’s Largest Telco Selects aCommerce for Delivery & Fulfilment
AIS is Thailand’s largest telecommunications company with over 36 million customers in a country of 66 million. They have selected aCommerce to revamp their current web store, which includes redesigning and optimizing the site’s UX. The AIS web store smartly sells products relevant to their service such as phones, SIM cards and other mobile accessories. aCommerce will also stock the 400 SKUs in the Thailand Fulfilment center and handle all delivery and B2C logistics as AIS’s official fulfilment partner.
Happy Client Doubles its Order Volume throughout Indonesia
Having successfully run over 200 campaigns and fulfilling 1000+ orders a day for the world’s largest daily deals site, Groupon Indonesia has decided to double its order volume to be fulfilled by aCommerce.
The move comes after strong performance reviews, receiving an average customer satisfaction score of 8.5 (out of 10.0), Net Promoter Score (a globally standardized customer survey) of 60 and having an error rate of less than 1%. aCommerce will also launch Cash On Delivery for Groupon, thus expanding payment methods. Hundreds of Retail Stores Are Closing Report on ‘The Future of Retail’ Shows
Last week Business Insider released some startling stats and trends in retail. The graph featured above shows offline sales growth for major retailers. It’s not doing well. But in nearly every industry, sales growth is coming from e-commerce. While the report shows mainly international trends, we can see our most forward thinking brands moving in the same direction in Southeast Asia. For example, even companies that have dominated the offline sphere such as L’Oreal Thailand and Indonesia’s largest retailer, MAP, are investing in growing their online channels as well.
