Southeast Asia Breaks Ecommerce Day Record, Grows by Over 200%
Using 12/12, Southeast Asia’s answer to Singles Day as a benchmark, aCommerce Intelligence estimates that ecommerce grew by over 200% from 2014 to 2015. The data looks at how many orders were placed from Dec 10 – Dec. 12 across three countries (TH, ID, PH) and normalized against the amount of clients, which also saw aggressive growth from 90 clients last year to 170 today. Lazada, the region’s largest ecommerce player and aCommerce Thailand client, also reported explosive growth with volume of orders growing by 300% from the same period last year, reaching 1.7 million orders.

aCommerce has seen an increase in almost 2X the number of active clients in december 2015 compared to 2014. The average number of order per client also doubled with average number of order per client doubling.The overall Inventory on hand almost doubled across our warehouses from September to December 2015 in preparation for Southeast Asia’s Online shopping day whereby one key client almost tripled its stock to prepare for the increasing customer demand. In the same time we were able to onboard another 3 clients contributing to our growth.
