Facebook Mobile Moves Commerce Taipei: Taiwan Businesses Looking For Ecommerce Opportunities In Southeast Asia
Many now consider Southeast Asia as the next big opportunity for ecommerce. In particular, Alibaba’s blockbuster acquisition of Lazada for $1 billion has put the region on the map for Chinese-speaking entrepreneurs. At the same time, we here at aCommerce have noticed an increase in demand from businesses from Greater China, starting with our strategic partnership with Taipei-based Digital River in 2015. To deal with this new Chinese interest, we have also recently launched our Chinese language website.
Last month, aCommerce was invited to speak at Facebook’s ‘Mobile Moves Commerce’ event in Taipei, where Taiwanese business leaders gathered to learn more about how to drive more ecommerce sales, including expanding into the lucrative Southeast Asian market. aCommerce Regional Commercial Manager JC Chen and Group CMO Sheji Ho represented aCommerce at this event.
