BrandIQ Reveals Which Category Offered the Best 12.12 Promotions in Southeast Asia

Using sophisticated ecommerce data collection and proprietary machine learning technologies, BrandIQ found that 36% is the average discount given across the region with the Fashion & Accessories category offering the highest average discount during this year’s 12.12

Southeast Asian shoppers had a busy time searching and purchasing the best deals offered during this year’s 12.12. Ecommerce measurement and analytics suite BrandIQ consolidates the discounts given out by global brands in various categories to see the best deals offered during the shopping festival. The findings were observed on the leading online marketplaces in six Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

BrandIQ has observed that the average discount offered by brands in six countries is 36% while midnight is when the lowest discount is found. During 12.12, the most common promotion offered by sellers is cashback for a minimum purchase, which is different from 11.11, where brands tend to offer percentage discounts with minimum purchase instead.

The data also indicates that the top three categories with the highest average discount in the region are Fashion & Accessories (49%), Sports & Travel (48%), and Home & Lifestyle (47%).
