What is your favorite part about working at aCommerce? 

aCommerce is a fun company to work for – we have all the benefits of the start-up spirit with the stability and size of a big established company. Also, being in the heart of the ecommerce tornado is very exciting. What I learned when I joined one and a half year ago about the ecommerce landscape in Southeast Asia is almost obsolete now. Being able to live and adapt to all those changes makes working at this company everything but boring.


What three words would you use to describe aCommerce?

Fast-paced, empowering and rewarding.

If you had one superpower, what would you choose?

Tele-transportation, so I can travel across the world everytime I have a spare minute.

Last book you read?

The Virtues of Failure, Charles Pepin.

Do you have any advice/tips for new joiners?

Don’t be afraid to ask.
Ecommerce is complex, getting your head around all the different services we provide, business models we operate under, systems we rely on, can be a tricky one. Sometimes, truthfully, a bit overwhelming – however, the team is very welcoming and you will find that everyone is always willing to help and support you in your onboarding (as most of us went through this same process).  That will also help you make friends along the way.

One of our core values that you feel very close to aCommerce?


I am a firm believer in the solution-oriented mindset. When facing any problem, it is important to know exactly what your final objective is so you can work on the perfect solution. I ask myself why I had this problem in the first place and how do I prevent this from happening in the long-run.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in the past year?

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. We have to interact with a lot of different departments to be successful at aCommerce. Engaging and getting everyone on board with my ideas and projects have been essential to making an impact here, leading to my success in the role.
