What is your favorite part about working for aCommerce?
I love that I get to work with so many talented people with great vision, supportive colleagues across departments who are also very fun to work with, and wonderful opportunities that have always opened up to explore new roles and responsibilities.
Do you have any advice for those looking to join this industry?
Enjoy what you do. Ask yourself what you expect from the company, if it matches what you envisioned in your future career path, and what you can do to contribute to the team and aCommerce. It’s important to be willing to learn and gain knowledge along the way.
One of the core values that you feel very close to at aCommerce?
Lean on your teammates!
The company has grown over the last five years and acheievd great success because of all the teamwork. It would not have been possible without the support not just in work aspects but also team bonding activities, cross-department integration and good relationship with clients.
Any advice for people who would like to shift roles internally or move to a new country?
Be passionate about what you do and have a good attitude. If you think you are capable, present your goals to the management and they will be happy to support you to place you where you best fit within the company. Be open to positive and negative comments shared and ensure you do your best no matter what role you are in.
If you had one superpower, what would you choose?
Photographic lasting memory. That would help solve a lot of problems and also be really helpful to memorize ancient Chinese passages which I like.
An important lesson you’ve learned in the last year?
Changes are not bad. Everything has a reason and change helps everyone eventually move forward with a purpose.
